About us
Cuddly Records is an independent umbrella label and curatorial platform that brings together multiple sub-labels and musical directions under a unified vision.
Originally formed as a creative collective, the project has evolved into a fully developed hub while maintaining a lively communication style, a horizontal structure, and a close connection with its community.
The project focuses on experimental and atmospheric electronic music, ranging from ambient and lo-fi to breakcore, giving artists space for expression and growth.
Rather than operating within a traditional hierarchy, Cuddly Records functions as an ecosystem where each sub-label keeps its own identity while remaining part of a shared cultural context.
Send demo
- 00:01
Start on the home page. Each project curates its own sound — pick the one that matches the genre of the demo or track you want to send.
- 00:02
Open the project and find the Release submissions link in the Submissions field. That is the door.
- 00:03
If the road leads to Discord, pass the short onboarding first. Once you are through, you will land in a channel with a submission button waiting for your work.
- 00:04
Fill in the form and let it rest. We read everything — most demos hear back within a week.
FAQ
- How do I get on the label?
- Read Send demo on this page — it covers the whole route. Still have questions? Write to @illuwn on Discord or drop us an email (see Links).
- What is Cuddly Records — and what are Cuddly Weeks and break:cast?
- Cuddly Records is the umbrella for our sub-labels and curators — we call them projects. We dropped the idea of mixing every genre on one label: each project owns a single direction, with its own sound, style, socials, Spotify profile and playlists. One project, one responsibility.
- Can I submit music that is already released?
- Yes — re-releases are welcome. Just say upfront that you want to re-release the track with us. If we take it, we will get in touch and walk through the transfer together, metadata preserved.
- Does it cost anything?
- No. Sending a demo and releasing with us is free. We do not run recoup schemes either — only splits, agreed in the open. Nothing is taken from the artist behind the scenes.
